Miscellaneous

I, like most people, contain multitudes. Here are some of them that I want to talk about!

My house

Back in 2022, my parents decided they were going to reunite my mum's plot of land with the piece next to it, and built a trio of houses on it. Four years later, the first house is almost liveable. I've collected together some photos and information about the process, and some of the smaller projects that I've done for my own part of the space.

When I was at school, I studied French until my GCSEs. I moved to Canada for my studies, but I didn't put my French skills into practice. Thus, my French is not what it was. For example, I spent half an hour to write this paragraph, and I think that there are mistakes - there are no AI translations here! If you would like to follow my studies, click here.

My art

When AI picked up as a "replacement" for human art, there was something viciously, existentially upsetting about the devaluing of human creativity and skill. The idea that AI was "democratising" art was absurd, and I joined the many people calling for those using AI to pick up a pencil and make more soulful, non-stolen art.

This gallery is me putting my money (what little I had to spend on pencils and paper) where my mouth is. I am certainly still a beginner, learning bit by bit how to express myself in a variety of different media.
